ALL RIGHT. So I just painted my nails, which means no more guitar for me tonight. ANYWAY, I’m not sure if I mentioned it on here or not, but tomorrow I will be playing the Third Avenue Festival in TWO DIFFERENT LOCATIONS at TWO DIFFERENT times.
You can catch my solo set over on 90th and 3rd from 1-2 pm
You can catch the set I’m going to play with my band, At The Ready, on 69th and 3rd from 4-5 pm.
Either way, all of you lovely people are welcome to join.
I’m watching Parks and Rec and I just got up to episode six, where Chris Pratt/Andy is listing the names the band has gone through and I realized that I was once in a “band” with one of those names…
When I was in seventh grade, my cousin and I would write a lot of songs together so we decided to start a band named Nothing Rhymes With Orange. We had a damn album cover that I spent two minutes on in photoshop and everything.
So I just listened to the song and holy shit. The thing is horrible hahaha. So, shout out to Parks and Rec for reminding me of my very first recorded musical endeavor.
Also, Chris Pratt actually plays guitar and that’s pretty rad.
I wrote this song about a year ago and have only played it live since. But in celebration of Doctor Who’s 50th Anniversary, I recorded the song, and now I’m sending it out into the world! Hope you all enjoy “Doomsday.” Lyrics are after the jump.
Straight from my blog of things inspired by fictional works, here’s my song, “Doomsday.” Happy 50th Anniversary, Whovians!
Had a great time playing at Summer Stroll last week and tonight! Special thanks to Circles Cafe for letting me play outside both nights. I’ll be posting some videos sometime this weekend, so stay tuned!
Swing by Circles Cafe on 69th and 3rd on Friday between 8:30 and 10pm to get some awesome food and to hear me play some pretty acoustic music. The wonderful Amanda Bruno will also be playing a few songs throughout the night. Hope to see you there!
[COVER] Forever My Father by Go Radio
After a while of being sick, I decided enough was enough. You can still hear a bit of it in my voice, but I really wanted to get this cover out in time for Father’s Day. So, here’s Hugsy the Penguin and I saying “Happy Father’s Day” with a cover of Go Radio’s “Forever My Father.”
Live cover of Animal by Neon Trees at The Room in Connecticut for the Tori Talks Music Birthday Show!
About a month ago, I had my first interview ever with Tori Talks Music. You can listen to it right here!
Introducing my newest guitar, Stormageddon Dark Lord of All… or “Cuba” for short with a small snippet of the song “Little Boxes” in the styling of Walk Off The Earth
